Understand Old One

What if you came back now
To our new world, the city roaring
There on the old peaceful camping place
Of your red fires along the quiet water,
How you would wonder
At towering stone gunyas high in air
Immense, incredible;
Planes in the sky over, swarms of cars
Like things frantic in flight.

• The poem talks about hope.
• The poem is talking about the current world the aboriginal people are living in.
• The poem is pointing to the people that are coming from the outback and trying to fit into their new world/civilization.
• The poem is a short poem because they don’t have much to say about the current civilization.
• They talk about the transport and the things that destroy the world around them.
• The title gives me the impression that the poem is telling an elder aboriginal of what is happening in the current world they are living in.
• The first 4 lines talk about their past lives and which part of their land has been conquered.
• The last 5 lines talk about the things that conquered the aboriginal peoples land.

1.) Read the following parables and identify the inspiring quality that Jesus is trying to teach us.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
 - Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
The Parable of the Persistent Widow - Pray and never give up.
The Parable of the Rich Young Man - Always share and give your findings to others not only to yourself.
2.) Provide an example of real life situation or person who has demonstrated any of the qualities you have listed.

The first person i can think of to be in a real life situation in demonstrating prayer and never giving up is the pope due to his faith in the roman catholic and his faith in God.
